OUT-OF-STATE CUSTOMERS

You can ship your gun to us for repair no matter where you are, guaranteed by federal law.

To ship a firearm to Top Shot Gunworks for repair, restoration, or modification, customers may send their firearms regardless of where they live. First, customers should contact us to arrange the shipment and provide necessary details. Next, customers must ship their firearm through a common carrier, such as USPS, UPS or FedEx; though the US Postal Service will not ship NFA or “concealable” (e.x. handguns) items. Packaging should be secure and nondescript to prevent theft during transit. Customers must include a copy of their government-issued identification inside the package. Once the firearm is received, our skilled gunsmiths will assess the work needed and contact the customer with a final quote before proceeding. The return of the firearm can only be sent to the owners registered home address (hence the need for the photo ID). By following these guidelines, customers can safely and legally ship their firearms to Top Shot Gunworks.

Steps For Out-of-State Customers

  • United States Postal Service

By Federal law, only Federal Firearms Licensees (FFL’s) can send NFA and handgun (identified as concealable) firearms via USPS. So, if you wish to have your firearm sent this way, you’ll need to find a FFL in your area to send your firearm here. For further details, click here. CAUTION: Your FFL might charge a fee to send your firearm out to another FFL, and also for the return. Check with your local FFL to find out what applicible fees may be applied.

  • United Parcel Service

Shipping via UPS is similar to USPS, though shipping handguns is permitted. Direct Delivery and Signature shipping is required. UPS also requires Next-Day Air in order to ship. Be sure there are no markings to identify the contents of your package. For further details, click here.

  • FedEx

At the current present time, FedEx does not allow firearms to be shipped other than by FFL’s.
